 Dr. Mendoza completed a small animal rotating surgical and medicine internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey from June 2006 to July 2007. Red Bank is the largest privately owned veterinary hospital in the U.S.  It was a wonderful experience but she could not wait to get back to the Austin area after a year in the Northeast!In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, traveling and hopes to be able to join a community music ensemble (she played the bassoon for many years).  Her parents and brother still live in El Paso.  Dr. Mendoza's furry, spiny and feathered family consists of one dog (Mable), 4 cats(Nala, Sadie, Violet and Egan), a hedgehog, Luigi and the newest edition, a parrotlet (Rio).  Dr. Mendoza is so excited to have the opportunity to work at Hometown Animal Care with Drs Sutton and Weaver.  She is extremely passionate about her patients and cannont wait to meet all of you!
